SUMMARY

  • The role of the Dedicated IT Managed Services Sales is to sell managed IT solutions (computer hardware, software and monitoring/management services) to small and medium sized current customers and new clients. This role is highly engaged with the customer to provide a predictable, budgeted IT spend enabling their business to grow, keep technology current and provide any/all future IT solutions in their environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for generating own leads and planning daily activity to reach the most potential customers each day
  • Identify prospects who meet ideal customer criteria (small to mid-sized businesses of 25-250 users, Windows Active Directory and Windows client/server operating systems)
  • Works with internal team to develop technology solution
  • Maintain and move ideal customers through sales funnel to consistently achieve sales quota
  • Conduct pre-call planning to identify opportunities and call objective
  • Secure appointments with CEO, CFO, COO or business owner for initial qualifying meetings
  • Conduct initial qualifying meetings to confirm ideal customer criteria and gain understanding of customer needs and expectations relative to Managed IT services
  • Confirm need and gain customer commitment to move forward in the process
  • Completes customer needs assessment
  • Writes proposals/statement of work for customer needs and proposed solutions
  • Maintain and update CRM database
  • Other duties as assigned 

 QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of selling managed IT services
  • Previous work history with MST or IT consulting firm or support experience in Information Technology preferred
  • Additional OS knowledge (i.e. Linux, Unix, MAC OS) and A+, N+, MCP and relevant certifications a plus

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Sales certifications preferred, but not required: CompTIA IT for Sales, Microsoft Office Tests or additional manufacturer sales certifications.
